Academics

Academics

Our chapter holds a cumulative GPA of a 3.16. The All Women's Average sits at a 3.20 The collective Fraternity and Sorority Life GPA is a 2.86.

We hold academics to a very high standard. As initiated members, we are required to have fulfill two study sessions a month. There are many different ways that we can fulfill our study requirements. We also require our new members who are not yet initiated complete these study requirements as well. This is to ensure they get into a good habit of studying and asking for help. We have many sisters who are all majoring in different things. A majority of the time there's always at least one sister with the same major, or a sister who has already taken a class and would be more than willing to help.

Our Education Director will host "Sorority Study Sessions" on Sunday's before our weekly meetings at 4pm. Sisters have the opportunity to attend two of these to fulfill their monthly requirement. Sisters can also attend a tutoring session, Supplemental Instruction (SI), or go to the Writing Center for help. If a sister meets with her professor this could also count as a study requirement.

Sisters who are a junior credit status and have a GPA of a 3.2 or higher can also apply to join an all Greek Honor Society. This is called, Order of Omega and honors Greek Life students that have attained good grades throughout their time here at the University of Michigan-Flint.
